Love

by Writing for love is a pas

Love is but a wisp of the wind,
gentle as a baby's touch.
Wild as an unexpected sin,
goals fall silent to lust.

Love is but magic's true form,
enticing as a drop of blood.
Giving chase to the raging storm,
yet as simple as a hug.

Love is but created from hate,
a thorn in a partner's side.
Wandering from state to state,
something a lie cannot hide.

Love is but a touch a way,
resting in the keeper's heart.
Come and claim it; seize the day.
Unto death 'till you part.

awww, aren't we all romantics at heart!

Just a quick question out of curiosity,

When you say "goals fall silent to lust." does this mean that ambitions disappear when your in love or that expectations do? maybe neither, just don't really understand this line.

Other than that I loved this short, sweet poem. It made me smile :)

Well I gotta say i really love this poem.
You hear the title and think, oh yeah love, i've heard them all,
Yet i like the way this poem concentrates on the smaller things that make up love of every sort, really expresses love in the purest form, in the idealist view, not commercialised, not typical.

Basically keep up the great work,
especially the last two lines tie in really well !! :)

xx Dont think i can critique it !

Hello,

I got to say that this is a good poem. I think that you used repetitive quite well and had a nice flow to the poem.

A few things:

"Love is but a whips of the wind,

gentle as a baby's touch."

Just a few spelling errors, well actually you just mixed the letters around, but that's okay I do that a lot too. :P

Other than that, you did a good job.
